The Metropolitan Police Department says a lady was shot outside a McDonald’s restaurant parking lot in Northwest D.C. early Tuesday morning.

After hearing multiple gunshots near the news station just before 4 a.m. near Wisconsin Avenue and Van Ness Street NW, WUSA9 personnel phoned D.C. police.

According to authorities, the injured woman traveled to a hospital by herself to seek care for her wound.

There was no other information about the woman’s condition revealed.

A vehicle was involved in the gunfire, according to authorities. Police are seeking for a dark-colored Nissan vehicle with four doors and passenger-side damage.

Officers were observed looking into the McDonald’s parking lot near the restaurant’s entrance.

This McDonald’s is still open and serving customers.
