Three juveniles have been detained in connection with repeated armed carjackings in Washington, DC

A 15-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys have been detained in connection with multiple armed carjackings that occurred in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.

According to DC Police, the suspects approached the victims seated in a car in the 2100 block of Champlain Street NW around 9:21 p.m.

The suspects brandished a gun and demanded the victim’s car. The victim obeyed, and the suspects escaped. The automobile was later discovered.

The suspects approached a victim seated in a car in the 2400 block of 17th Street NW around 9:27 p.m. in the second incident.

The suspects brandished a gun and demanded the victim’s car. The perpetrators were unable to steal anything from the victim and departed the area.

The suspects were apprehended shortly after, and a pistol was discovered.

The 15-year-old and a 16-year-old male from Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.

A 16-year-old male juvenile from Southwest, DC, was also detained and charged with Armed Carjacking.
