Tokyo Daimo Breaks Music Hiatus With A Brand New EP “Silence” + Q&A

Breaking out of his music hiatus, D.C. Rap Artist Tokyo Daimo release his brand new EP entitled “Silence”. After taking some time away from music, Tokyo Daimo has finally broke his silence with his 8-track EP, consisting of no features. We had the pleasure of getting to know Tokyo Daimo and getting back into music.

 

Q: Tell us about your new project “Silence”.

Tokyo Daimo: Silence is golden! I’ve been silent for a while now, and I decided to break my silence. These 8 songs paint the picture of the phases of life I’ve gone through in the last few years and I really just wanted my fans to know shit cool, I’m back!

Q: What was your inspiration behind your project?

Tokyo Daimo: Silence has been in the making for years, iIhad to go through life’s phases in order to deliver this from the heart project. I’ve been out Cali for the last few months getting the business side handled, so look forward to more Tokyo Daimo in 2021. Silence is just the beginning

Q: Who are some of your biggest influencers in music?

Tokyo Daimo: Lil Wayne, Wale because he from home and, Drake are some of my favorite lyricists.

Q: How would you describe the type of music you typically create?

Tokyo Daimo: Versatile, I feel like I can work with any genre and I enjoy a lot of cities styles & sounds, I’m looking forward to some of these features!

Q: What is your creative process like?

Tokyo Daimo: It varies, depends on the situation! I’m big on good vibes and my vibe has to be right! I need a comfortable stu and some liquor and some good weed

Q: Are you planning any video shoots for your music?

Tokyo Daimo: Yes! Stay Tuned 

Q: Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Tokyo Daimo: I’ve always wanted that Lil Wayne record, but for the most part I like collabs to be organic you can’t force shit or worry bout what other artists doing, be you and shit will fall into place

Q: What is one message you would give to your supporters?

Tokyo Daimo: I know this may sound cliche, but I don’t think you know how much your support does and means to me. it really can make or break an artist, I give you more credit! thank you!”

Q: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Tokyo Daimo: I love music so much I couldn’t even imagine my life without it! id be lost like shit”

Tokyo Daimo: 1. smoke weed 2.enjoy life 3.make people laugh & seeing the people around me happy 4.RECORD MUSIC

Q: How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Tokyo Daimo: Its a give and take with the internet, as an artist, your most likely in the public eye, and the internet can be cruel, or your biggest supporter, gotta weigh the pros and cons

Q: When you create music, what is your personal purpose or goal?

Tokyo Daimo: To make people really feel it, no matter what, i like my fans to feel the shit im going through and they can relate to it

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Tokyo Daimo: Trap more, network more, have more fun, travel, ALL GAS NO BREAKS!

Q: If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to the next musical generation, what would it be?Tokyo

Tokyo Daimo: Study the art and actually care about what you put out cause you’ll regret it in the long run! learn the ins and outs of the business side of things too! and to never give up! anything is possible, real shit

Q: What’s next for you?

Tokyo Daimo: More in the entertainment industry for real, maybe find some artists of my own! flood the streets with this music i got in the vault, and really get on the road, the next 6 months i have some big shit coming so just be patient and again thank you for all your support, that shit mean the world to me”
