PGPD investigating woman found shot to death inside a stairwell

Police are looking into the death of a woman who was found shot to death in Prince George’s County on Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of Palmer Road in Fort Washington, according to tweets from the Prince George’s Police Department.

Officers arrived to find a woman unresponsive inside a stairway with a gunshot wound. First responders pronounced the woman dead.

The woman’s death was ruled a homicide by police. At this moment, no suspect information is available, and the victim has not been identified.
