Teen taken into custody after allegedly bringing gun and bullets to Md. school
A Maryland high school student is being charged as an adult because he allegedly brought a gun and bullets to school.
The Prince George’s County police said that a student told security at Frederick Douglass High School that the 16-year-old suspect was showing off the gun on a school bus Monday morning.
Later, the gun was found in the student’s backpack by security at the Upper Marlboro school. Even though the gun wasn’t loaded, there was ammunition in the bag.
The student is now in police custody and is being charged with having a gun on them, having a dangerous weapon on school property, and being a minor in possession of a gun.
There is still an investigation going on into what happened.
