One dead, three people wounded after multiple shootings Friday morning in Baltimore City

Police in Baltimore City is investigating a series of shootings that occurred early Friday morning, injuring three people and killing one.

The first incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. when a 26-year-old woman was shot after an attempted robbery. She was walking near the intersection of Hilton and Baltimore streets when she was shot while attempting to evade the suspect. According to authorities, she was able to drive herself to the hospital and is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Two persons were found shot in the 800 block of Gretna Court in south Baltimore at 6:15 a.m., prompting police to launch a homicide investigation. Officers discovered a 31-year-old male and a 30-year-old woman suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Police clarified earlier statements, stating the woman died at the scene and the guy was brought to the hospital.

Around 7:30 a.m., a third gunfire was reported in the 4500 block of Birchwood Drive in southwest Baltimore. An unidentified man shot a 33-year-old man many times in his backyard, according to police. He was rushed to the hospital and is listed as critical but stable.
