Capital City Go-Go Fight Hard in Loss to Raptors 905 at CareFirst Arena
Washington, D.C. — The Capital City Go-Go turned in a strong, competitive effort Wednesday night at CareFirst Arena but were unable to close out the game, falling 115–104 to Raptors 905 in a fast-paced NBA G League matchup.n an exciting NBA G League night at CareFirst Arena. Capital City came out sharp, setting the tone early with defensive pressure and quick ball movement. The Go-Go controlled the opening quarter and stayed within striking distance throughout the night, entering the fourth quarter down just two points as the home crowd looked on with anticipation.

Alondes Williams led all scorers with a team-high 30 points, delivering an aggressive offensive performance while attacking the rim and knocking down timely jumpers. Williams carried the scoring load for Capital City and kept the Go-Go competitive during multiple momentum swings.
Sharife Cooper served as the engine of the offense, finishing with 14 points and 11 assists, consistently setting up teammates and controlling the pace. Leaky Black made his impact felt across the stat sheet, contributing 17 points, along with solid rebounding and defensive versatility on the wing. Inside, Akoldah Gak provided a physical presence, adding 10 points and 7 rebounds while battling in the paint.

Capital City made several pushes to regain control, particularly in the third quarter, when their pace and execution sparked momentum. However, Raptors 905 responded with timely baskets and capitalized on late opportunities to pull away in the final minutes. crowd looked on with anticipation.
Despite the loss, the Go-Go displayed encouraging signs, including improved chemistry, consistent effort, and the ability to compete with one of the G League’s deeper teams. As the season continues, Capital City will look to build on this performance and convert strong outings into wins in front of the D.C. faithful. The game featured Local Basketball star Julian Reese, brother of WNBA star Angel Reese and Washington Wizards star Alex Sarr brother Olivier Sarr.
