Where Leaders Are Made: Rashard’s Growing Impact in West Baltimore
In a short time, Rashard has become a powerful force within KHA, making a lasting impression through his leadership and commitment to the community. Since joining the organization, he has hit the ground running—bringing in over 50 clients and counting. Rashard is doing this while also building something even deeper beyond the numbers: trust, connection, and real impact.
At the heart of his work is his mentorship program at Rosemont Elementary/Middle School in West Baltimore, where more than 40 students are actively engaged. What started as a vision has now grown into a safe haven for youth—a place where structure, discipline, and personal growth are not just taught, but lived every day.
Rashard’s approach goes beyond traditional mentoring. Through life skills workshops, self-development sessions, and consistent guidance, he is helping shape the next generation into confident, self-aware leaders. His presence offers something many young people need but don’t always receive: genuine support and someone who truly understands their journey.

His impact doesn’t stop there. Rashard also plays a major role in expanding KHA’s reach by connecting more youth and families to valuable resources. From hosting free community events to offering one-on-one mentoring, fitness training, and therapy sessions, he ensures that support is accessible to those who need it most. His work reflects a deep commitment to breaking barriers and creating opportunities.
Looking ahead, Rashard is preparing to launch a girls’ program in the fall—an expansion that speaks to both the organization’s growth and his vision to serve even more youth across the community.

A Legacy Built on Purpose and Authentic Leadership
His program, Boyz 2 Men, continues to grow rapidly alongside KHA, driven by a clear mission and a powerful message. One phrase he often shares with his students captures the essence of his work: “Where leaders are made.”
Rashard’s journey into mentorship is just as impactful as the work he does today. Reflecting on his past, he shares how his mindset has evolved:
“All my life I was trying to impress others and looking for validation. I cared about what people thought. But when I stepped away from that and chose to become a mentor, I realized I had to be a leader. I couldn’t care about what people think because people will always have something to say. The people who truly support you will respect you more for being yourself.”

That authenticity is exactly what draws young people to him. It’s not just what he teaches—it’s how he lives.
When asked what message he would give to the youth he works with, his response was simple but powerful:
“Be yourself no matter what people think of you and always be true to yourself—because your biggest challenge in life is you vs. you.”
Through his dedication, honesty, and leadership, Rashard is not only changing lives—he’s building a legacy.
