Women’s History Month: Sherry Buenaventura Is Powering Partnerships Across the DMV

A DMV native, Sherry has built her career around one core strength. She knows how to connect people in ways that create real results. As a seasoned sales and marketing professional, she specializes in business development, strategic partnerships, and relationship-driven growth. Her work sits at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and business, where timing, trust, and execution matter.
Over the years, Sherry has worked alongside NFL legends, partnered with the Washington Commanders, and collaborated with Grammy-nominated artists and A-list actors. Those experiences are not just about proximity. They reflect her ability to build partnerships that make sense and deliver value for everyone involved.
At the same time, her impact across the DMV business community continues to grow. Through her work with the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce, she has played a key role in developing and supporting some of the region’s most recognized events. That includes the Chamber Gala hosted by Anthony Anderson, the Business and Economic Summit featuring John Hope Bryant, Women in Business leadership events, holiday receptions, and quarterly networking experiences that bring together professionals from across industries.
She does not just help plan events, she helps create experiences that people remember and relationships that last. That approach shows up in every space she enters. Sherry is intentional about how she builds connections. She understands that strong partnerships do not happen by chance. They require consistency, trust, and a clear understanding of how to bring the right people together at the right time.
Beyond her professional work, that same mindset carries into how she gives back. Sherry remains deeply committed to volunteerism, mentorship, and community engagement. Inspired by the values instilled by her parents, she continues to invest in others and create opportunities that extend beyond business.
This Women’s History Month, Sherry Buenaventura represents a form of leadership that often works behind the scenes but drives everything forward. She is not just building connections.
She is building what comes next.
