Columbia Teen Convicted in 2025 Double Homicide Outside Columbia Mall

A jury has convicted a Columbia teenager for his role in the deadly shooting that claimed the lives of two teens outside Columbia Mall last year, closing a major chapter in one of Howard County’s most heartbreaking cases. Prosecutors proved that Emmetson Zeah, now 19, carried out the February 2025 attack through a trail of digital and physical evidence. Jurors found Zeah guilty of two counts of first-degree murder along with multiple firearms-related charges after reviewing surveillance footage, GPS data, and forensic evidence that placed him at the scene.

The shooting unfolded just outside the mall in Columbia, Maryland, a busy area normally filled with shoppers and families.
