Curaleaf partners up with onePULSE for PRIDE Month to “OutLove Hate”

Published

on

For this Pride Month, Curaleaf partnered up with OnePULSE, a non-profit organization that is raising money to fund a permanent memorial for the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, FL in 2016. The money will also go to educational and community programming, as well as 49 annual college scholarships for LGBTQ students. In selected states, Curaleaf will be donating $1 from every sale of their PRIDE pre-rolls and batteries to the organization. PRIDE pre-rolls will be sold in AZ, FL, MA, MD, ME, and NV, and the batteries will be available in MI, IL, ND, NY, and Provincetown, Massachusetts.

We have a chance to talk with the Curaleaf team and gain a deeper insight into the PRIDE month campaign and partnership with onePULSE.

Q: Here at The DMV Daily, we’re big supporters and allies of the LGBTQ community. Many of our readers identify as a part of the community, and we enjoy covering stories that show support. Can you tell us more about Curaleaf’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community?

Curaleaf: We’re excited to host our PRIDE Month product campaign again this year, benefiting the onePULSE Foundation, and we also make it a priority to show our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community year-round. Our employee resource group, QUSH, has a mission to support and uplift the queer community through education about queerness and allyship within the organization and beyond.

We’re also proud to have a diverse and inclusive team. From our C-Suite team, to store managers and team members, LGBTQ representation is present Externally, our corporate social responsibility initiative, Rooted in Good, prioritizes providing equitable opportunities in cannabis for marginalized communities, including the LGBTQ community.

Q: Can you tell us more about the national product campaign benefiting the onePULSE Foundation.

Curaleaf:  Our national Pride products campaign will run for the full PRIDE Month, from June 1st to 30th. Curaleaf retail stores in 18 states across the country, including Maryland, are offering limited edition PRIDE products, including pre-rolls, batteries, and Select Cliq batteries. A portion of sales from select products will be donated to onePULSE. Customers can also make direct donations to onePULSE in Curaleaf retail stores and online. Last year, we raised $150,000 for the onePULSE Foundation, and we aim to exceed that in 2022!

Our focus with Rooted In Good is to support the communities we serve, and we achieve that by working closely with partners like onePULSE to create impact at the community level. It’s our honor to continue working with the organization to memorialize the 49 lives lost and the 68 others who were injured at Pulse nightclub in 2016 – the majority of whom identified as LGBTQIA+.

Q: Which PRIDE Month products are available in the DMV area?

Curaleaf: In Maryland, our Pride Month pre-rolls and Select Cliq batteries are available at Curaleaf retail locations. $1 from each pre-roll sale will be donated to onePULSE. Free gifts will be provided to customers that purchase Select Cliq batteries.

Q: For our readers here in the DMV area, which store locations can they visit to purchase the products listed above?

Curaleaf: Curaleaf has locations in Columbia, Montgomery Village, and Reisterstown, Maryland. All of these locations are participating in the PRIDE Month product campaign. To shop online or find out additional information about offerings at our Maryland locations, visit our website here.

Q: How can our readers stay connected with Curaleaf for future campaigns like this?

Curaleaf: Please visit our website at www.curaleaf.com and stay connected with us on social media via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Donations are also being accepted at all Curaleaf locations nationwide during the month of June, with the option to donate directly online as well at https://onepulsefoundation.org/donate. If you give $20 or more, you’ll receive a limited edition pin commemorating this landmark campaign, while supplies last (with the exception of donations in ND, AR, MI, PA, IL, and UT).
