Violence Erupts, Resulting In 2 Deaths And Multiple Wounded Victims

Violence erupted in DC over the weekend, leaving two dead and several injured.

Friday:
– 1700 block of Benning Road, NE: Darryl Williams, 45, was found with gunshot wounds and later died in the hospital.

Sunday:
– 1900 block of Vermont Street, NW: A man and a woman were shot and hospitalized.
– 2200 block of Minnesota Avenue, SE: Two men were found with gunshot wounds. Another man and a teenage girl also checked into hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. An officer was involved in a crash responding to the scene.

Monday:**
– 800 block of Underwood Street, NW: A person was shot and later died. Two masked suspects in a dark-colored Toyota are sought.
– 700 block of 24th Street, NE: A man and a woman were shot and are in stable condition.
– Gainesville & Alabama Avenue, SE: A shooting investigation is underway.

Anyone with information is urged to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411. Rewards up to $25,000 are offered for tips leading to arrests and convictions in DC homicides.
