Former Washington Commanders Quarterback Dwayne Haskins dies after being hit by car

Dwayne Haskins of the Pittsburgh Steelers died this weekend after being hit by a car, according to his agent Cedric Saunders, who spoke to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Haskins was 24 years old at the time.

Haskins was in South Florida training with the Steelers’ quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers. He was killed when he was hit by a car on Saturday morning.

Haskins was taken 15th overall by the Washington Commanders in the 2019 draft after a successful junior season at Ohio State.

Haskins endured two seasons with the Washington Redskins before joining the Steelers prior to last season. Haskins signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers shortly after leaving Washington and spent last season as a backup behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.
