GRAMMY award winning artist Lecrae Partners with City Takers giving back school supplies to the youth
On Monday, July 21, 4X GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, author, actor and activist Lecrae hosted a back-to-school community activation in the heart of Atlanta in partnership with local nonprofit City Takers. The backpack drive welcomed fans and residents alike to join Lecrae in assembling backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students across the city.
With over 100 attendees, Lecrae and City Takers surpassed their target goal – making the event a meaningful success ahead of the new school year.

Inspired by the message behind his forthcoming 10th studio album Reconstruction, the event was a celebration of service, restoration, and intentional impact – core values Lecrae has championed throughout his career.

As part of the afternoon, attendees also received an exclusive first listen of Reconstruction, set to release later this summer. The activation underscored Lecrae’s continued commitment to uplifting his community—not only through music, but as a mentor, entrepreneur, and movement leader shaping the next generation of artists and changemakers.
See more photos from Monday’s event below, and stay tuned for more from Lecrae as he gears up to release his highly anticipated album later this summer.
