Fifth Suspect Apprehended in Connection with Murder of 2-Year-Old Jeremy Poou Caceres
A fifth suspect has been apprehended in connection with the tragic murder of 2-year-old Jeremy Poou Caceres. The Prince George’s County Police Department announced on Monday that they are charging 25-year-old Nilson Granados-Trejo with first and second-degree murder.
To date, the department’s homicide unit has arrested and charged a 15-year-old from Takoma Park, a 16-year-old from Hyattsville, and two other individuals believed to be involved in some capacity. All suspects are being charged as adults.
The incident occurred on Feb. 8 when Jeremy and his mother were walking along Kanawha Street in Langley Park, and shots were exchanged between two groups. Tragically, both the toddler and his mother were caught in the crossfire, which detectives assert was not intended for them.
PGPD continues to urge the community to come forward with any information related to this heartbreaking case.
