More Than Gifts: Keeping Hopes Alive Spreads Hope Across Baltimore This Holiday Season
ive.
The 4th Annual Holiday Toy Drive hosted by Keeping Hopes Alive (KHA) proved to be a powerful and uplifting success for the Baltimore community, reinforcing the organization’s mission of supporting youth and families through compassion and action. Held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 701 Gold Street, the event brought together local businesses, community leaders, volunteers, and families in a shared effort to spread hope during the holiday season. More than 1,000 toys were distributed, ensuring that children across Baltimore experienced the joy and excitement that every child deserves. Beyond toys, families benefited from free haircuts, new shoes, winter coats, and engaging live entertainment, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
The event served not only as a celebration but also as a vital resource for families facing economic and emotional challenges. Smiles, laughter, and gratitude filled the space as children and parents alike felt seen, supported, and uplifted. Community partners played a critical role in making the day possible, demonstrating the impact of collaboration and collective care. KHA’s Holiday Toy Drive once again stood as a beacon of hope, proving that when a community comes together, it can create meaningful change and lasting memories for those who need it most.

“This event is about more than gifts; it’s about restoring hope,” said Karahn Alston, Founder and Executive Director of Keeping Hopes Alive. “The holidays can be an especially difficult time for families in need. With the help of community partners and sponsors, we’re not just giving toys; we’re showing families that their community sees them, values them, and stands beside them.”
