Tell the audience about Rich Grillz and the mission statement

Rich Grillz aspires to  improve the esteem and confidence of people in different communities by elevating hip-hop culture and the traditions that surround to a relatable and professional level. We are also about connecting that culture with the history and traditions of humans from the firsts civilizations. Overall we want to elevate the aesthetic value of smiles across the world. Grillz are an extension of your smile, your joy.

What are three things about you that nobody knows or few people do?

I’m a PhD student at Temple University after graduating from Bowie State and Towson University respectively.  The only time I really look forward to going out is on my birthday, December 25^th.  My community means the world to me and so much of how I evaluate my own success is through a lens of what I can do for others.

If you had to title your life as an album, what would it be and why?

All Rise

“I think my life is cumbersome of other people who dedicate their lives to my vision and will. I promise that with my success we will all rise. Its hard to get people to see your vision, especially if different things might be in their peripheral. My goal in life is work until the people who believe in me don’t have to, all rise.” –  Orion Rich

What’s your daily routine?

I like to get up as early as I can, there is no set time for me. The demands of my day determine how I negotiate my team. In the perfect world I will go to the gym and catch up on some reading before lunch. Im always at our Bowie location throughout the day and at night leave to make sure all of our orders are right and to our strenuous standards at night. Things get hectic most days but that usually my game plan.

What states and events have you done business at?

We have done work in LA, Atlanta, New York, Philly, Afghanistan, Japan and some other places. People receive our online presence well and I think that’s a space where we separate ourselves from competitors. We are a street oriented brand so you can find us anywhere at any given time, especially in the DMV.

Describe yourself with a song lyric

I’d rather die enormous than live dormant, that’s how we on it.

How did Rich Grillz start off?

We started off as pawn brokerage and it evolved into my apprenticeship making handmade necklaces and pendants. 7 years later we have truly found a niche here in the DMV making dental regalia.

How you do go about branding Rich Grillz? You go a great job

Rich Grillz is all about developing a family atmosphere online and in store I want people to see the product on people’s faces so they can get an idea of how it makes my clients feel. I think the beautiful part about what we do is in our intention, if you don’t leave with a bigger smile I failed. – Orion Rich

So the goal for us is to make you smile before you even walk through the doors. I want people to expect a quality product and customer service before they schedule their appointment.

What brands would you love to collaborate with? Why?

I would like to work with all of the brands that started in the DMV, from Madness to EAT. I think our area manifested a unique culture so those collaborations would be amazing to me.

Any celebs you specifically want to wear your brand apparel or grill?

I would love to see Shy Glizzy, John Wall, Kevin Durant, and Wale in one of my pieces. I respect a lot of what they represent and would love to work with them.

Top five business influences?

Roc-a-fella, Facebook, Water companies, Nike, and Garvey

What obstacles hinder you from fully becoming an international company?

It’s all in due time. Nothing is hindering that accomplishment. I think it’s more of a thing that require more work from us.

How do you plan on overcoming them?

I don’t want it to come off like I am not answering the question, lol. I feel like we all know exactly what we need to do to get to where we want to go. The challenge is always a matter of courage and execution. I will slay all challenges I have the courage to face and ability to overcome.

Tips for business rookies?

Stay focused on your business. Don’t get distracted by the reverence of what you do. Never forget your treat your supporters like family and that clients always comes first! If you have started your business then you are already on the right track.
