Travis Turner, Union High School Head Football Coach Has Been Missing Since Nov.20th
An attorney for the family of Union High School head football coach Travis Turner says Turner has been missing since Nov. 20, when he left home to walk into a heavily wooded, mountainous area with a firearm. His last contact with family was that same day. When Turner didn’t return, his wife alerted law enforcement but was told a missing person report couldn’t be filed for 24 hours. The report was officially filed the next day, and the family says they’ve fully cooperated with the ongoing search led by Virginia State Police. Relatives and friends have also searched the area, though efforts have been hampered by weather and the need to avoid interfering with official operations.
The family says they remain hopeful Turner is safe and will be able to defend himself in court.

Union High School head football coach Travis Turner has now been officially entered into the Virginia State Police missing persons database. (Virginia State Police)
