Dreamfest will be held in Ocean City for the first time over MLK weekend
Ocean City, Maryland, is having its first-ever “Dreamfest” over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
At the Ocean City Performing Arts Center, there will be a concert each night of the three-night event.
Tom Perlozzo, the town’s director of tourism and business development, said in a statement Monday, “We want to celebrate Rhythm and Blues while also honoring Martin Luther King Jr. and the history of this holiday weekend.”
“Dreamfest will bring back the soulful sounds and rhythms of the voices of the past and also honor Dr. King’s dream.”
It starts with a show by The B.B. King Experience with Claudette King on Friday, January 13. The Commodores by Thomas McClary will be performed on Saturday, January 14. On Sunday, January 15, the festival ends with the Spinners.
You can buy Dreamfest tickets at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center or on the website for the Ocean City Performing Arts Center.
