Building the World’s Best Storytellers through The Connect Masterclass

Published

on

We are in a time where we are finding creative and authentic ways to express our deepest emotions, understand different cultures, and connect to the work around us. Often times we look to the world’s best storytellers like models and actors to fill this void.  Despite our reliance on these storytellers, navigating their industries can be incredibly challenging trying to gain visibility for their work to the lack of resources to be successful in their fields. The Connect Masterclass was designed to create a supportive and collaborative community for current and aspiring models and actors.

The Connect Masterclass provides a space for models and actors to connect with professionals in the entertainment industry, learn from each other, build relationships, and grow into the storytellers that the world needs. This event will feature panel discussions from the most respected and accomplished model coaches, casting directors, photographers, filmmakers, and directors in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas to provide resources, education, and career opportunities to attendees. The masterclass event is taking place on September 17 in Waldorf, MD.

I had a chance to speak with Cashaéy Serenity, the founder of The Connect Masterclass. She is known for her experience and talent as a model, fashion designer, actress, and entrepreneur. As a young adult, Cashaéy grew an interest in modeling and acting; now she is currently using her knowledge to teach aspiring artists to develop their careers as professionals in the industry.  Throughout our discussion, she spoke on the importance of bridging the gap between aspiring actors and models and those who can help them achieve success in the industry. Check out our discussion down below.

Q: What exactly inspired you to create a masterclass course helping models and actors?

Cashaéy Serenity: What inspired me to create “The Connect Masterclass” was the opportunity to share some “unwritten rules” of advice that I didn’t know about when I first started my professional career over 10 years ago. My vision for “The Connect Masterclass” is to create a supportive and collaborative community for aspiring talent. We’re devoted to helping everyone reach their potential goals through networking, education, and building career connections. Same insider knowledge that other aspiring talents had, giving models and actors the tools they need to succeed.

Q; Can you speak on the purpose and importance of providing a space for models and actors to connect with professionals in the entertainment industry?

Cashaéy Serenity: The importance of providing a safe environment for models and actors is because unfortunately, there are a lot of companies or individuals that prey on aspiring talent. The Connect Masterclass allows aspiring talents to connect with reputable companies in the DMV area to protect them from being taken advantage of by people that are only interested in monetary gain.

Q: What are some ways new and aspiring models and actors can make themselves stand out in their industries?

Cashaéy Serenity: Some ways that aspiring models and actors can stand out from others is by investing in a professional website with your model portfolio, link to your acting reel, professional headshots, and resume.

“I started the Connect Masterclass to provide a space for aspiring models and actors to connect with professionals in the entertainment industry. I know first-hand how challenging it can be to meet reputable professionals; this masterclass will help them get the support they need to jumpstart their professional careers,”

says Cashaéy Serenity, Founder of The Connect Masterclass.

Q: Content creation has been the next thing, especially since COVID. Can you speak on the role that content creation plays in bringing visibility to an individual model and acting?

Cashaéy Serenity: With the advancement of social media over the past few years, so many companies or businesses are investing in content creators instead. As a content creator, being able to create your own content from start to finish shows your creativity, makes you more relatable to the audience, and increases your chances of getting noticed.

Q: What attendees can expect from the Connect Masterclass?

Cashaéy Serenity: The Connect Masterclass is a comprehensive guide that covers everything from building your portfolio to nailing auditions. It’s packed with insider tips and advice from some of the top professionals in the industry from the DMV area; you can assure that you’re getting the best possible advice.

Q: How can individuals enroll in private in-person or virtual coaching sessions?

Cashaéy Serenity: You can enroll in one-on-one virtual or in-person coaching sessions by visiting www.cashaeyserenity.com.
