One Dead, Three Injured After Car Collides With Ambulance In Fairfax County
One person was killed and three others injured after a car collided with an ambulance in Fairfax County on Tuesday afternoon. Police say the crash happened around 4 p.m. at Worldgate Drive and Alton Square, where an ambulance driving with lights and sirens was struck by a car. The car’s passenger, initially hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, later died. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did two fire personnel in the ambulance. All involved are adult males.
Police have not released details about the car’s driver, and it remains unclear whether charges will be filed. The Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
