Interview: Frank Beats Shines In Creative Bliss

Published

on

Last year, my business partner and longtime friend Richard Zeller put me on to a young artist by the name of Frank Beats. At first glance, Frank checks all the obvious boxes: a technically elite musician, a true prodigy, someone who can shred a guitar better than 99% of the population. Normally, that level of skill would lead me to assume I’m dealing with a familiar archetype—another talented musician on a predictable ascent. But after sitting down and really talking with him, it became clear that Frank doesn’t fit into any standard mold.

Frank is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, an institution known for shaping some of the most forward-thinking minds in modern music. That foundation shows—not just in his technical ability, but in the way he thinks. He understands music as both structure and chaos, discipline and rebellion. History has always had individuals who seem wired differently, people who don’t just participate in art but expand its boundaries. Frank is one of those people.

What stood out most to me is his depth. He’s not just gifted—he’s intellectually engaged with music in a way that’s rare, especially at 22. He’s one of the few people I’ve spoken to who can break down the brilliance and the flaws of legends like Slash, Jimi Hendrix, and Miles Davis without romanticizing them. Those conversations are where I realized just how special he is—his understanding isn’t surface-level, it’s studied, lived, and internalized.

That mindset has translated directly into momentum. Recent collaborations with rising artists such as Rugrat1900, Rio Da Yung OG, Louie Ray, Jay Hound, and Jay 4 Prez have sparked both streaming growth and a wave of new opportunities. But what matters more than the numbers is how he’s building. Frank isn’t chasing moments—he’s constructing a career with intention, patience, and real passion for the craft.

At the same time, he’s honest about the human side of the journey. One thing Frank is actively working on is preserving his mental health as his career accelerates. That level of transparency is something I deeply respect. You never truly know what someone is carrying behind closed doors, and his openness is a reminder that success doesn’t automatically bring peace or stability. Maintaining both takes years of self-awareness and self-maintenance.

And for bonus points—he’s a fan of The Punisher and my personal favorite, Deadpool. That alone tells me he appreciates complexity, duality, and a little chaos.

Keep Frank Beats on your radar. Artists like this don’t come around often. He’s not just talented—he’s different.
