The highly anticipated Afrobeats & Wine Festival 2026 is officially returning to Washington on Sunday, July 5, 2026, bringing thousands together for an immersive celebration of music, culture, food, fashion, and Black excellence. The festival will take place at Dock 5 at Union Market from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Known as one of the DMV’s premier cultural lifestyle events, Afrobeats & Wine Festival blends the energy of Afrobeats music with curated wine experiences and elevated hospitality. The festival continues to attract a diverse crowd of young professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, influencers, and tastemakers from across the country.

Organizers describe the event as more than just a music festival. It serves as a cultural movement designed to celebrate African and diasporic culture while spotlighting Black-owned brands, global sounds, and premium lifestyle experiences shaping mainstream entertainment today.

Guests attending this year’s festival can expect live performances from DJs playing Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Dancehall, and other international sounds. The event will also feature curated wine tastings, premium beverage experiences, and food vendors serving African, Caribbean, and international cuisine.

Beyond the music and food, attendees can explore immersive activations, interactive installations, fashion-forward photo opportunities, and VIP hospitality experiences. Organizers also emphasize the festival’s networking aspect, creating space for creatives, professionals, and influencers to connect in a culture- and community-centered environment.

“Afrobeats & Wine Festival was created to celebrate culture, connection, and the evolution of Afrobeats as a global force,” organizers shared. “Washington, D.C. has become one of the leading cities embracing African music and culture, and we’re excited to continue building an experience that brings people together through music, wine, and elevated vibes.”

Celebrating the Global Rise of Afrobeats

Over the past several years, Afrobeats has grown into one of the world’s most influential music genres. Artists and producers from across Africa continue shaping global nightlife, entertainment, and pop culture. The festival honors that influence while creating a premium experience rooted in diversity, celebration, and shared connection.

Its return to Union Market further highlights D.C.’s growing reputation as a destination for multicultural festivals and internationally inspired events.

Afrobeats & Wine Festival 2026 will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dock 5 at Union Market. Tickets are currently available online, and organizers encourage attendees to purchase early due to high demand from previous years.
